Kylie Bax was born on January 5, 1975, in Thames, New Zealand. She grew up in her parents’ horse farm, which sparked her love and passion for horses. Her mother was a former model, and Kylie Bax was discovered while she was strolling in a shopping mall in New Zealand. When she realized she had modeling potential, she soon moved to New York to pursue it full time.
When Kylie Bax moved to New York, her first big assignment was with photographer Steven Meisel, which was a layout for Italian Vogue. This opened many doors for her, as she then started working for the most prestigious names in the fashion industry like Karl Lagerfeild and Helmut Newton. She modeled in Europe and was signed with different modeling agencies in London and Paris, leading her to grace the covers and pages of many popular magazines. Kylie Bax has appeared in Vogue, Marie Claire, and Harper’s Bazaar. She has also graced the runway and appeared in ad campaigns for Clinique, Escada, DKNY, Armani, Chanel, Christian Dior, Moschino, and Versace. In her entire career, she has appeared in more than 20 international Vogue covers.
By then Kylie Bax had received international acclaim for her success in modeling and in 2000 joined a roster of other successful models to appear in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. She also appeared in Maxim and Stuff magazine as well as appeared nude in Playboy. Soon after, she ventured into film. Her first movies were The Big Tease, Storm Catcher, Jill Rips, and We Married Margo, all from 1999-2000. Kylie Bax also starred in teen comedies, such as Boys and Girls, and Get Over It.
